Syopsis

During the 2nd year of the pandemic, biophilic artist Freyja Sewell started a creative experiment. She immersed herself in the beautiful nature of Cornwall, England, and attempted to become an avatar, digitising the experience of a human in nature, freely uploading and sharing the qualia of that experience as they occurred. These included photos, iPhone videos, 3D modelling scans, and sounds of the nature she was engaging with. She uploaded all the content to a shared folder online, which fellow digital creators - confined to their homes across England, Prague & Tokyo - could access, and they were invited to remix the uploaded assets with total freedom. Unified Fields is a culmination of the works that resulted from this experiment. It is an exploration of the place that nature is within ourselves, our creations, and ourselves within nature. It is an exploration of interconnection, in a reality altered by the pandemic. Unified Fields was officially released at Mutek.JP festival's 2022 edition.
